Dhaka Delight

Dhaka Delight

Ingredients

  • Milk-1 liter
  • Citric Acid-1 pinch(tatrey)
  • Semolina-2 tbsp
  • Coconut powder-1 cup
  • Sugar-250 gm
  • Milk powder-2 tbsp
  • Screw pine (kewra)-1 tbsp
  • Green and red food color-few drops
  • Oil-for frying
  • muslin cloth (malmal ka kapra)-1 meter
  • Grated coconut-for garnishing

Method

  • Heat milk then in it add citric acid in order to curdle it. Put the curdled milk in a muslin cloth and let it hand so that excess water drains away.
  • When all the water has been drained, place the milk blob on a cutting board. Add semolina, milk powder and screw pine to it and mix well with hands.
  • Separate this mixture into two parts. Add red food color in one part and green in the other. Mix each part separately, till the colors get evenly distributed.
  • Heat oil in a wok, make small rounds from both the mixtures and fry them till they turn golden.
  • Make sugar syrup. Immerse these rounds in the syrup for 2 minutes.
  • Take them out and roll them in a grated coconut. Keep them in a serving dish and serve.

Ingredients

  • Custard-1/2 cup
  • Milk-1 kg
  • Sugar-1/2 cup
  • Jelly-1 pack (in red color)
  • Jelly-1 pack (in green color)
  • Sponge cake-1 (middle size)
  • Fruit cocktail-300 gram
  • Almonds-50 gram
  • Pistachio-50 gram
  • Walnut-50 grams
  • Cashew nut-50 gram
  • Jam-e-Sheren-As required
  • Fresh Cream-1 cup
  • Strawberry-as required

Method

  • Firstly heat the milk, then add sugar and stir it nicely.
  • After that mix custard powder by pouring water in it, then add it into milk and then stir it continuously with the spoon.
  • Take another small pot and pour the heated water and jelly powder in it and again stir it.
  • Now take bowl put cake, mix fruit, strawberries, and custard in it.
  • In the end add jelly, strawberry and garnish it with cream.

Ingredients

  • Mint-½ bunch
  • Milk-1 glass
  • Cream-1/2 cup
  • Sugar-3 tbsp
  • Ice-as needed

Method

  • To start of first boil the mint leaves into a hot water for 1-2 minutes. Do not let the color changed.
  • Then in the blender put the boiled mint water along with sugar and milk. Blend it till the sugar and mint gets dissolved completely.
  • Now add cream and ice and blend it again.
  • Pour it in glass and garnish it with mint leaves.

Method

  • First of all take a juicer jug and put one cup of black tea, 2 banana, sugar 2 tbsp and shake it.
  • When its shake then add one cup of  fresh cream and one cup of ice cube.

  • The method of making Green Tea Juice is very simple.

Method

  • Take a juicer machine, Put Litchi, coconut milk, sugar and blend it for 3 to 5 minutes.
  • After that add cream and ice cubes and again blend it well.
  • Your drink Litchi colada is ready .

PAKISTANI Foods: Fried Chops

Fried Chops

Ingredients

  • Garlic/Ginger paste-2 tbsp
  • Lamb chops-1/2 kg
  • Chili powder-1 tbsp
  • Yogurt-1/2 cup
  • Salt-to taste
  • Egg-1
  • Garm masala-1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
  • Bread crumbs-As required
  • Oil-for frying

Method

  • Fry garlic and ginger paste in the pan containing oil.
  • Add chops in it and cook it till the water of chops gets dried up.
  • Now add yogurt, turmeric powder, garam masala, and chili powder, salt and also pour little water.
  • Cook it till the chops become tender.
  • Beat an egg and apply the egg on chops, then coat them in bread crumbs and then deep fry them.
  • Serve them with French fries and sauce of your choice.
  • Your Fried Chops are now ready.

Ingredients

  • Cooking Chocolate-2 tbsp (crushed)
  • Milk-200 gram
  • Tapioca Pearls-2 tbsp
  • Sugar-to taste

Method

  • Take a pot and pour quarter cup of water and tapioca pearls and then stir it nicely.
  • When tapioca pearls becomes like crystals then add milk and again stir it.
  • Take another pot and boil 1 cup of milk and along with it put the crushed chocolate in it.
  • Make a fine sauce.
  • Now take a blender and blend all together the chocolate sauce, Tapioca Pearls and the remaining milk and sugar as well.

Ingredients

  • White Butter-250 gm (at room temperature)
  • Icing sugar-250 gm
  • Flour-250 gm
  • Eggs-2
  • Baking Powder-1/2 tsp
  • Cooking Chocolate-4 tbsp

Method

  • Mix butter and sugar in a bowl till it form a smooth paste.
  • Beat eggs in separate bowl and add them in butter mixture and mix it with the help of beater.
  • Now mix flour and baking powder. After mixing, add flour in egg mixture with one spoon at a time. Mix it well.
  • Now there are two ways of making these biscuits, one is to make dough of this mixture by adding more flour.
  • Make dough and shape it in rectangle with rolling pin, place chocolate in mid and roll dough from both sides, then cut it with knife and place it in preheated oven.
  • Bake it at 120 degree for 15 minutes.
  • Second method is to make a creamy and smooth mixture and add melted cooking chocolate in it.
  • Then put it into pipe bag and make biscuits shape in baking tray and bake it for 15 minutes.

  Ingredients

  • Boneless chicken-37g gm
  • Onions (thin sliced)-2 medium
  • Oil-4 tbsp
  • Corn (boiled)-1/2 cup
  • Peas-1/2 cup boiled
  • Cream-1/2 cup
  • Green Chilies (chopped)-2
  • Tomato (chopped)-1
  • Crushed Red Pepper-1 tbsp
  • Oregano-1/2 tsp
  • Salt-to taste
  • Black pepper Powder-1/2 tsp
  • Cumin-• 1/2 tsp
  • Garlic cloves (chopped)

Method

  • Heat oil and sautĆ© garlic, add onions and cook till the onions become soft on low flame.
  • Don’t let it to be brown.
  • Add oregano, cumin, and black pepper. Mix it well.
  • Now add tomato, green chili.
  • When tomato become soft then add chicken and cook it for 3-5 minutes.
  • When chicken changes it color then add corn and peas, mix it all well.
  • On this stage add red chili.
  • Remove it from heat and then add cream.
  • After adding cream put it again on heat and cook till the chicken becomes soft and gravy thickens.
  • Serve it with boiled rice or garlic bread.

Ingredients
  • For Malai Kulfi:
  • Milk 1 liter
  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Tetra pack cream 1 packet
  • Reduced milk (Khoya) 200 gm
  • Bread slices 2 large
  • Screw pine (kewra) 1 tsp
  • Sliced almonds and pistachios 1 tbsp
  • For Falooda:
  • Corn flour 1 cup
  • Water 2, 1/2 cup
  • Yellow color few drops (optional)
  • Screw pine 1 tsp
Method
  1. For Falooda: Mix together corn flour, water, Yellow color and screw pine in a pan.
  2. Cook on moderate heat while stirring till thick and glossy.
  3. Remove from heat and pour in a falooda mold.
  4. Put it over a pan of chilled water, press the mold hard, you will get falooda noodles used to serve with kulfi.
  5. For Kulfi: Cook milk on medium heat till slightly reduced.
  6. Add in sugar and continue cooking over low flame till mixture reduce to half.
  7. Add bread slices and cook for another 5 minutes.
  8. Remove from heat and add khoya and screw pine, cool the mixture.
  9. Then put the mixture in a blender and blend well and add sliced almonds and pistachio.
  10. Put in kulfi molds and chill in a freezer till firm.
  11. To Serve: In serving bowls, put crushed ice, Falooda noodles, cream and sliced Kulfi.
Serves – 4

INDIAN Foods: INDIAN BUTTER CHICKEN RECIPE

INDIAN BUTTER CHICKEN RECIPE



Ingredients:








1/4 pint/150ml natural yogurt
2 ounces/50g ground almonds
1 1/2 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp crushed bay leaves
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp garam masala
4 green cardamom pods
1 tsp ginger pulp
1 tsp garlic pulp
14 ounce/400g can tomatoes
1 1/4 tsp salt
2 pounds/1kg chicken, skinned, boned and cubed
3 ounces/75g butter
1 tbsp corn oil
2 medium onions, sliced
2 tbsp fresh coriander, chopped
4 tbsp cream

METHOD:
How to make butter chicken :
  • Place the yogurt, ground almonds, all the dry spices, ginger, garlic, tomatoes and salt in a mixing bowl and blend together thoroughly.
  • Put the chicken into a large mixing bowl and pour over the yogurt mixture.
  • Set aside. Melt together the butter and oil in a medium karahi, wok or frying pan. Add the onions and fry for about 3 minutes. Add the chicken mixture and stir-fry for about 7 to 10 minutes.
  • Stir in about half of the coriander and mix well. Pour over the cream and stir in well. Bring to the boil. Garnish the indian butter chicken with the remaining chopped coriander to serve the chicken curry.

Ingredients
2 cups (500 ml.) full fat milk
1 cup condensed milk
1 cup milk powder
1 teaspoon cardamomClick to find more about cardamom (elaichiClick to find more about elaichi) powder
2 tbsp chopped pistachios.



Preparation
Combine all the ingredients together and bring to a boil. Add the cardamomClick to find more about cardamom powder and pistachios.
Simmer for 10 minutes till the mixture thickens. Cool completely.
Pour into 4 kulfi moulds and freeze overnight till firm.
To unmould, allow the moulds to remain outside the refrigerator for 5 minutes and then unmould by inserting a wooden skewer, stick or a fork, in the centre of the kulfi and pulling it out.
